El Tovar Hotel

In 1905 the El Tovar Hotel opened at the end of the railroad line and was considered to be one of the most elegant hotels west of the Mississippi. Since then, this is the only first class hotel in the Grand Canyon Village. The hotel has hosted such luminaries as Theodore Roosevelt, Albert Einstein and many others. The El Tovar is a National Historic Landmark and retains its elegant surroundings that take you back in time. It is considered to be one of the most elegant lodges in the National Park system. The El Tovar features a fine dining room offering a menu to please everyone's taste. The El Tovar is ideally located on the canyon's rim and in the historic Grand Canyon Village and its cozy atmosphere make this property extremely popular. (All rooms at the canyon are non smoking.)

From January 17, 2005 through March 31, 2005 the El Tovar will be closed for renovations. Please call for room availability for April 1 - April 13, 2005

Price: from April 1 through March 10, 2006 (Children under the age of 16 stay for free.)

Please order below by the number of nights you will be staying. If you need more than one room you will have to reserve each room separately by coming back to this page once you reserved the first room.

Reservation Information: Children under the age of 16 stay for free. All no-shows as well as cancellations less than 4 days prior to arrival will be charged with the room charge times the number of nights reserved. There are no refunds for early departures.

Cancellation Policy: A $35 administration fee will be charged for all cancellations from the time of booking to five days prior to the check in date. All cancellations inside of four days of the check in date will be charged for all the room nights that were reserved for you. A no show will be charged for ALL the nights reserved - no refunds. Those departing early will not be refunded for any unused nights.

These tours are only offered at a low price of $12.95 per person with a room reservation. Children 16 years old and younger are free as long as they are accompanied by a paying adult. To reserve the tour come back to this page and click on the link above to the order tour page. These tours will not be offered at this low price at the Grand Canyon.
